ATV Trail Riding

Enjoy waking up and riding straight from our outpost to the trails! Located in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, campers will stay at a unique renovated train station, with full amenities in Mann, West Virginia. For 2 days and 2 nights, they will be able to see what life is like in an old coal mining town that is world famous for its ATV trails.
Campers will ride ATV’s from the outpost to the Hatfield and McCoy trail system—some of the most rugged riding terrain in the Eastern U.S. The Hatfield-McCoy Trail System is a state trail system which utilizes old logging and coal mine roads. With 3,000 total miles of trail now open, the accessible riding area is also the largest in East. Campers will enjoy a day getting to know the ATV’s, how they operate, and completing a safety training course, and spend another day of riding on the trail system

Mountain Biking

Campers will have a full day pass to ride the downhill trails at snowshoe Resort. They will be able to cruise down a variety of trails, and terrain parks on the mountain; then ride the modified ski lifts back up the mountain all day long. Campers will be provided with well- maintained, quality mountain bikes and safety equipment. Campers will also receive riding lessons and full supervision by our staff throughout the day.

Zorbing

Zorbing is a new extreme activity invented in New Zealand that has just recently made its way around the world to Pigeon Forge, TN.  The basic concept of zorbing is rolling down a big hill in the middle of a giant clear Beach-Ball.  There are two ways you can Zorb; Zydro or Zorbit.  Zydro; just take yourself, some water, and up to two of your campmates, and prepare for a wild ride!  Zorbit; strap yourself in and feel the G-force!  You’re probably thinking; that sounds like a lot of fun, but is it safe?  It’s hard to describe zorbing with words, you have to see it!

Rock Climbing and Rappelling

Campers will spend the day 1000 ft. above the New River climbing and rappelling rock faces ranging from 35 ft. up to 60 ft. high. They will be trained how to properly use all the necessary climbing equipment and basic climbing skills by certified climbing instructors. Throughout the day campers will face mental and physical challenges that they will learn to overcome with self- perseverance, and encouragement, from their camp-mates and counselors.

White Water Rafting

Campers will participate in an action-filled day trip on the beautiful New River in Rowlesburg, WV. They will cover a 15 mile span of the river, with 22 intense sections of rapids, in an 8 person raft guided by the professional staff at Appalachian Wildwaters. Campers will enjoy taking a break from paddling through the rapids to go swimming and eat lunch.
Campers will also get the opportunity to ride the rapids in a single person raft called Ducks. Campers will be taught how to maneuver themselves through class one and two rapids by professional guides in a safe and fun environment.

Indoor Skydiving

Skateboarding and Other Fun Activities

While campers are at Snowshoe MT. Resort, they will have access to the Split Rock Pool water park, Shavers Lake recreation area, and the Snowshoe Skate Park. Campers will be able to take a scenic chair-lift ride to Shavers Lake to enjoy paddle-boats, canoeing, and beach volleyball. Due to fact that so many of our activities burn a lot of energy, campers will have the necessary time to just relax and socialize with their fellow campers every once-in-a-while.
